Sheridan Institute of Higher Education
Quality. Caring. Affordable.
Higher education can change the direction of a person's life. But for a lot of people who are more than capable of it, the cost of getting there has quietly become the thing that holds them back. Affordable higher education in Perth shouldn't be out of reach, and here at Sheridan, we're making sure it isn't.
We've decided to do something about that. From 2027, Sheridan is resetting tuition fees across our degrees to an earlier, more affordable level, while upholding the academic standards, the small classes and the personal support we're known for exactly as they are.
Since 2020, cost-of-living pressures have changed the way families think about study. Rent, groceries, transport, degree fees, the everyday cost of getting by has increased significantly. For example, just in the year to June 2026, Australian housing costs increased by 6.8 per cent, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
Many prospective students can’t consider higher education, purely based on the high costs. At Sheridan, we don’t think affordable higher education in Perth should mean settling for less.
We will maintain the quality of higher education we deliver as we reset our fees to an earlier, more affordable level.
Our students consistently tell us the experience is worth it and the QILT Student Experience Surve 2025 rated us positively across the board:
From 2027, our tuition fees will be reset for all undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, and for both domestic and international students:
Graduates of Baptist secondary schools, teaching staff at Baptist colleges, and all other domestic students on scholarship will pay a fee of $1,650 to help meet the costs of teaching resources.
All fees above are GST-inclusive and, as always, include textbooks with no hidden costs.
We are still dedicated to creating small class environments, where you are known by name. You'll still have lecturers you can actually reach and the kind of mentorship that's hard to find when you're one face in a crowded theatre. The pastoral care that's woven into campus life stays, because it's part of how the place genuinely runs.
What changes is simply this: from 2027, our fee reset will make studying at Sheridan more accessible to people beginning their career journey.
We’re a not-for-profit higher education provider, founded and supported by Australian Baptist Education. From 2027, thanks to their ongoing support, we can reset our fees while continuing to invest in qualified educators, student support, facilities and learning resources.
Because we're not-for-profit, our resources go toward our educational mission rather than returns for private owners. That’s what makes resetting our fees something we can sustain.
We call this radical hospitality. "Radical" comes from the Latin radix, meaning “root”. This is about addressing the barriers to higher education at their source. It has nothing to do with being commercially aggressive, and everything to do with making room for people.
For us, hospitality means recognising each person's individuality, opening real opportunities for them and creating a community where students are supported and challenged to grow. Open enrolment and transparent fees have been part of that for a long time.
Our tuition fee reset gives fuller expression to this longstanding commitment.
We want people to feel genuinely welcome here, and we're careful about how we teach them and how we look after them.
If you're comparing your options in Perth, it's worth looking past the headline number to the things that actually shape what a degree is worth.
Check whether textbooks and materials are included or quietly added on later, because hidden costs can undo an "affordable" fee pretty quickly. Ask about class sizes and what support actually looks like. Make sure the provider is properly accredited and recognised; Sheridan is TEQSA-registered (PRV14012) and CRICOS-registered for international students (03391M).
Lastly, look for a fee structure that's transparent from the start, so you can see the full cost before you commit to anything.
Sheridan's new tuition fees for 2027 are about opening the door wider so more students can pursue an extraordinary life through education.
If you'd like to find the course that fits your future, or you have questions about the 2027 fees, we'd love to hear from you.
