The Perth Cultural Centre is an area of central Perth, Western Australia centered around the James Street Mall. The area is home to a number of cultural institutions including the Art Gallery of Western Australia, WA Museum Boola Bardip, State Library of Western Australia, State Records Office, State Theatre Centre of Western Australia, and Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts.
The Cultural Centre is located between the Perth city train station and the entertainment hub of Northbridge and is bounded by Roe, Beaufort, Francis and William Streets. There are pedestrian bridges, over Roe Street, from the train station and the Horseshoe Bridge, and street-level access from Beaufort, Francis and William Streets.
Many Transperth buses service the area including the free Blue CAT which runs every 7 minutes on weekdays and Saturday until 6.20 pm and every 15 minutes until 1.00 am on Friday and Saturday nights and to 6.15 pm on Sundays. There are Blue CAT stops at both Beaufort (stop 7) and William (stop 15) Streets.
