Sheridan College Library Guidelines
About the Library
The Sheridan College library is located at 10 Nash St, Perth WA 6000, adjacent to the McIver Train Station. Students can make use of the relaxed library space, which includes computers, desks, free Wi-Fi and quiet study areas. Students can also print and make photocopies at the library. The current collection comprises of print books, DVDs and a reference collection. Materials are arrange in the Dewey Decimal Classication (DDC) system to make it easier for students and staff to find items in the library. The online library catalogue can also be used to search and locate items in the library. Students and staff can access the library's online resources from the Campus or from home. The online resource include: databases, electronic journals, full-text articles, peer-reviewed articles, abstracts, eBooks, open access resources etc...
The Library Manager is available on Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00am to 4:00pm to assist students and staff with their library and information needs.

Membership and borrowing limits
To borrow from the Sheridan College Library, you need to become a member. Please see the Librarian if you wish to become a member. The Library has a few borrowing memberships.
Students:

Free membership to students studying at Sheridan College.

Students need their student card to be able to borrow items from the library.

Borrowing limit: 20 items for 6 weeks (42 days), with one renewal.

Please note that students will also need to provide an alternative contact person’s details to be able to borrow items.

Free access to online database, including electronic journals at Sheridan College. (Please see Librarian to access online resources from home).
Staff:

Free membership to Sheridan College staff members.

Borrowing limit: 30 items for 6 weeks (42 days), with two renewals.

Please note that staff members will also need to provide an alternative contact person’s details to be able to borrow items.

Free access to online database, including electronic journals at Sheridan College. (Please see Librarian to access online resources from home).
Public:

Public membership is available to people not studying at Sheridan College.

$50 for 12 months.
