BA (History) Structure

Sheridan College's Bachelor of Arts (History) program is a three-year undergraduate program for students interested in preparing for employment in the field of history, or as a pathway towards postgraduate research.

The BA (History) comprises 2 core History units and 6 elective units specific to the History discipline, 3 research-oriented units, 3 core Christian Studies units, and electives chosen from other academic disciplines.

Each unit is worth 3 credit points, with the exception of the Research Project which is worth 6 credit points, for a total of 72 credit points. Click here to download the Course Guide for the BA (History).

General Electives (choose 9 units)

  • Choose from selected units within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, or from another faculty.

Sheridan College and Sheridan Research Institute are located at
18/7 Aberdeen St, Perth, in the Piccadilly Square West building.

For students, it conveniently places Sheridan College next door to McIver Train Station and a 9-minute walk from Perth Train Station. 10 parking bays will also be available for the exclusive use of staff and students, and the Aberdeen St entrance to the Newcastle St Carpark is across the road.
